Profile… um, what do I write?! OK, I rode my old school ‘racer’ in the 80s with a huge 10 gears, then like most kids ditched it when cars and a real social life became more important. When I was 22 I thought, yeah that MTB stuff looks like fun, so I went shopping and lashed out on a full steel Mongoose that had to be good because it was $300 and had to be twice as good as one of those department store bikes!! That was the start of my never ending upgrades and search for the ultimate location to ride, bike to own and shop to call my second home. I am still searching for the ultimate location, but locally love Fox Creek and Mt Beauty and Forrest in Victoria.

As for the bike, my current ride, Pivot Mach 4 has to be the sweetest, best tracking ride I have ever jumped on and as for the shop?? Am I just saying this because I have to, no way, the guys at Mitcham Cycles are brilliant, great service, products and good friends. It’s amazing the number of people I have sent there to check them out, who have purchased bikes, clothing etc etc. If you ever have a technical question, be sure to bail up Mr. Bikeopedia.com (Lea) and ask him to tell you a story, I am sure he will, just make sure you have a fresh cup of coffee for him, and you will NEVER get away!! Lol.

As for me, I have had an average year but am looking forward to next year, solo 24hr is in order at one stage after 12hr solo this year and a few other enduros with a handful of dirt crits and XCO races. Be confident that the guys at Mitcham will help you out!

Worst thing about riding Breaking stuff and the associated cost (but getting something new is always cool!), injuries AND THE HEAT!!
Best place to ride Mt Beauty and Forrest
Worst place to ride Indoor trainer when it’s too hot to ride!
Words of wisdom Be kind to your kids, they will choose your nursing home, pain is only a weakness leaving the body, get a Pivot bike, be careful of hot water, it burns
Thanks to My Mum (she did the hard yards in the early years and making me into the person I am today), my wife for putting up with me, my kids and the guys at Mitcham Cycles.
